Submit Your Blog and Website Top 5 Blog Search Engines

The rapid growth of the internet and the massive adoption of social media has created new ways for individuals to express their opinions online.
Bloggers blog on many different topics, including their personal lives, product reviews, political opinions, technology trends, tourism experiences, sports events, and the entertainment industry.

Therefore most of the people are searching for good rich content that they usually find in blogs.
Readers find it more interesting to read these articles on these millions of blogs and definitely prefer their searches to be searched from these blogs.

Traditional web Search Engines sometimes miss these contents while searching written in these blogs. While Blog Search Engines search exclusively the required topics, from all the blogs out there.

Although there are dozens of Blog Search Engines indexing all the blogs, some are very inaccurate showing irrelevant results, some requires custom submission, and some don't even show the search results at all.

But here I compiled a list of Top 5 Best Blog Search Engines that can really help you in searching content from blogs, with accuracy and perfection.

5.BlogSearchEngine.com

A Google-powered powered search engine searches fast and shows all possible articles containing search keyword(s) but do not fetch the required search effectively. Search of same keyword brings lot of results in other search engine while BlogSearchEngine drops most of them.

Good feature includes list of blog categories and top searched/rated blogs on home page.
If its results omits your blog in searching then you may have to manually submit your blog to BlogSearchEngine, but you have to show their link in your blog/blogroll in order to be indexed properly.

4.Blogscope.net

Made as a part of a research project of University of Toronto, Blogscope.net helps in finding different topics from more than 35 Million tracked blogs.
Its searches and shows results faster and with more accuracy.

The best part is its mini preview window, which shows the actual article in the mini window when you place cursor on the links, without opening the entire blog.

On the side of the search page, its shows how many times the keyword has been searched before, in a preview window which they call "popularity curve".
A Tour may help understand more about BlogScope.

3.Ask.com Blog Search

One of the most senior search engines, Ask's Blog Search Engine has been searching millions of blogs articles since early 2006.

It also shows mini preview (like BlogScope), when you place your cursor over that little binocular icon below every search result.

You can subscribe to feeds of the search results.
Ask's searches are often deep, so you don't have to enter that advance search option.
You can arrange the search results by their popularity, date and relevance.

4.Icerocket Blog Search

IceRocket is a very impressive blog search engine, that not only provides searches from blogs but also from web, images, twitter and myspace.
It's BigBuzz search option is fun to use, which shows results from all types of sites, including videos, news etc, all in one page.

Top searched keywords, Top Blogs, and submission of a blog to IceRocket, all is available on home page.

For Deep searching, IceRocket Advance Search can be really helpful.

1. Blog Search

The king of Search Engines, takes the top spot in blog content searching too.
Despite being beta for a long time Google Blog Search is not only accurate and lighting fast, but it shows the maximum number of search results.

It first matches the the searched keyword with blog titles and shows in top of the result page under Related Blog section.
Below that it shows all the blog posts containing the searched term.

You can also subscribe to feeds or create and email alerts of the search term, which sends you an email whenever the keyword search is updated in search database. You can even create a custom widget of the searched keyword(s) that you can embed in your blog.

If your blog is not showing in Search Results ,then you can tell Google about your blog.

If you are using Google toolbar, then you can speed up blog searching by adding Google Blog Search button to your toolbar, which will help you search right from your toolbar.

Thank you for your time reading this.

Note, I made this small list based on my own opinions and experience.
So,leave your comments and tell me how do you find it?

I would really appreciate if you spread it, and help others looking for quality Blog Search Engines.

Online Check and Update All Installed Plugins In Your Firefox

If you're a firefox user then you must know about plugins installed with it. Firefox Plugins power videos, animation and games and other kind of applications. There is no plugin installed by default when you install firefox for the first time. They're built outside of Firefox by companies that want to support their applications to be executed by firefox.

Usually firefox automatically checks for updates for addons installed, ignoring the plugins. And If you noticed these plugins don't always update automatically and if they're not updated they can interrupt browsing by slowing down the performance and off course newer means better which have improvements that can make browsing smoother and safer for you.

You can see all installed plugins in your Firefox:

* Open the Tools menu.

* Choose Add-ons.

* Click the Plugins tab to view all installed plugins.

If you notice you can only disable a plugin but cannot update any as there is no update button available.

But you can check for plugins' status and updates through Mozilla's Plugin Check Service.

Just open Mozilla Plugin Check website.

Wait for a few seconds until the website automatically scans all the installed plugins and their current update status.

After scanning you'll see a complete list of plugins, their details and (if outdated) their recommendation to update with the direct link- linking towards to developer's website.
Now all you have to do is to click the update button in front of the plugins that you see outdated.

Plugins with undetected versions by "Plugin Check" are shown with a research button, clicking the Research button will open up Google Search results for the plugin's wesbite, from where you can manually look for the appropriate developer's wesbite to find the update.

It is recommended to Bookmark Mozilla's Plugin Check site and you should regularly visit it to check installed plugins' updates.

Beware! Fake Antivurus Softwares on the Loose.

This is a very important warning to all of you about some very malicious rogue security (anti-virus) programs that have become very popular on the Web.

These programs look legitimate, their Web sites are very professionally designed, and they're out to trick you into downloading their software as a way to keep your computer safe.
BUT These products will not keep your computer safe, in fact they put your personal information and your computer at great risk.

The program names listed below, all hide the same fraud. The most common warning displayed by these malware programs is "Halt! Critical System Warning".

The names this malicious, rogue security program uses are:

AntiVirusXP 2008
AntiVirus 2008

AntiVirus2008
AntiVirusXP 2009

AntiVirus 2009

AntiVirus2008

XP Protector 2009

VistaAntivirus2008
System Antivirus 2008

All of the above are said to be variants of the infamous WinFixer trojan.

These products look professional and legitimate and, in fact, have very well-designed, attractive interfaces. The developers of these products are out to get your money and have spared no expense in designing a professional looking program to trick you into believing these are legitimate programs.

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM. You'll lose money, face serious computer problems, waste time trying to remove it (it's very difficult to do), and potentially expose your personal information to criminals.

malicious programs, very difficult to remove, very egregious, that scatter duplicate associated files in various places on your computer in order to avoid detection. These programs display exaggerated scan results in order goad you into purchasing them.
These programs scan your computer and "find" hundreds of infections, registry problems, etc., and most are not legitimate problem. It will then inform you that in order to "repair" these errors and fix your computer you need to purchase the program.

If you have been duped by any of these products, see the bottom of this article for the proper method to remove them from your computer.

If you are one of the thousands of victims of these rogue anti-virus / security products, you need to remove it from your system- and you must remove it correctly. These are not very easy programs to remove. Here is a forum post on C|Net that explains how to get rid of these products and their clones.

Shutting Down Your Computer Quickly!

There could be several answers to this, however, I highly suspect this one.

In shutting down, you computer must first close all running programs, Then, if your computer is loaded with many hundreds of junk files, it must go through them all also.
....The more junk you have on it, the longer it takes to shut down.

What is considered junk? It is hundreds and hundreds of files you probably have left on your computer that have built up so large, your computer must go through ALL of them before shutting down so that is what is taking so long.

Junk files are:

1. Temp Files,
2. Internet files,
3. Cookies, etc.

To give you an example. In checking my junk files nightly (and cleaning) just before shutting down, in just one day of surfing the net, you could have as many as 10 MB - in JUST ONE DAY!. I once found I had 59 MB in just one day. Multiply this by say -- 30 days - and you can see why a computer would slow to a crawl to shut down.

The program that I highly recommend to solve this Junk files problem completely (And FREE) is "CCleaner"

I run it every night before shutting down and my now my system shuts down completely in less than 7 seconds.
